When an ecological catastrophe ruined the Earth and made life on it impossible, some people had to leave their home planet forever to save it, while others had to stay and die.
Nicola is the last person who miraculously managed to survive and get on a spaceship that left in search of a new home.
It is not easy to be on the road once and know in advance that for you it will never end. It is even more terrible when this road is an eternal flight among cold and indifferent stars. It is even worse when your companions see you as the source of all their misfortunes, because you belong to the human race, and therefore you are responsible for the misfortunes that have happened.
Yet Nicola is lucky. On this journey he has friends - otherworldly, incredible, not at all like himself, but still the most loyal and the best in the world. But what to do if a small and defenseless friend is in trouble that he does not know about? If you need help yourself?
Nicola knows exactly the answer: still rush to save those you care about. Then, as in a good old fairy tale, a kind and wise dragon will surely come and shelter you from all your troubles with his wing.
